Gary Bennett, the Young Citizens Foundation President, says “The Young Citizens Foundation is proud to partner with The Air Cadet League of Canada in promoting citizenship among Canada’s youth. It is critically important for our collective future that these young Canadians, who have experienced the benefits of participating in the Air Cadet program, further their formal education so that they may have a better opportunity to take on positions of leadership in our future.”
The fundamental purpose and goal of the YCF is to assist young Canadians to grow as mature, committed, knowledgeable and contributing Canadian citizens. Recognizing the importance of a post-secondary education, The Young Citizens Foundation will also assist the attendance at qualifying Canadian universities and colleges of selected students through a Scholarship/Bursary program.
The Air Cadet League of Canada is a civilian non-profit community based and volunteer led organization, which in collaboration with the Department of
National Defence and our other partners, is dedicated to supporting the aims and objectives of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program, and to developing in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership; promoting physical fitness; and stimulating the interest of youth in the aviation and aerospace industry, including the air element of the Canadian Forces.
