We know that Scouts Canada develops leadership skills, exposes students to the various citizenship ideals that the country values, and provides positive mentoring.
The provision of post-secondary scholarships to selected participants is important so that these students, who have developed these positive attitudes, will continue their education so that they can achieve positions of leadership in their communities, regionally and nationally.
The Young Citizens Foundation and its Board of Directors and the Vancouver Foundation, want to congratulate Mateo Mejia Duff as the 2018 Young Citizenship Foundation Scholarship Award winner. Mateo will be granted $ 5,000 for his excellence as a model citizen, his support of fellow classmates and colleagues, and for his contribution to the Canadian community.
