Scouts Canada is one of the country’s leading youth organizations offering a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship for boys, girls and young adults aged 5 to 26. Scouting youth discover the best in themselves and the best in others. Our programs help kids develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. At its core, Scouts is about helping young people find their way forward, matching skills with their interests and ensuring that youth receive the support and guidance they require.
Scouting youth have a lot of fun discovering new things and experience adventures they wouldn’t have elsewhere. These experiences include activities such as international trips, white water rafting, rock climbing, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), just to name a few. Scouts Canada youth members are more likely to demonstrate greater self-confidence and optimism about what the future holds. They express a strong sense of civic responsibility and have a desire to “pay back” the community. They become more physically fit, energetic, outgoing, conscientious and compassionate.
As a highly diverse organization, Scouts Canada offers programming in multiple languages, reflecting Canada’s multicultural landscape and communities. These core programs include:
